A Fotografia Nazareth surge como uma secção da Livraria Nazareth, na Praça do Giraldo. Em 1940 é dirigida por António Nazareth. A partir de 1946 a secção de fotografia é dirigida por David Freitas, que se torna proprietário da mesma em 1958.
