Fotógrafo oficial da Casa Real. Em 1900 ganhou a medalha de ouro na Exposição Universal de Paris.
Augusto Bobone (1825-1910), fotógrafo da Casa Real, foi aluno da Academia de Belas Artes de Lisboa, formação que lhe permitiu aliar a técnica da pintura à da arte fotográfica. Bobone terá herdado a direcção do Atelier Fillon em 1881 - [Fillon morre em Agosto de 1881] -, então situado na Rua Serpa Pinto 79 a 87, mantendo aí actividade até 1910.
